I gave this second book in the series a four rating. Although Alexis comes off the stronger of the two characters, I cannot justify giving this second book a 5 rating. The action is minimal, with Alexis carrying most of the book. It is too short and another chapter or two would have filled it out more and given Chase more of a role in this romance.I take away from this second book more of the workings of Chase's thoughts about Alexis. He thinks that there is real potential for them, but he does not tell her. He's a wimp. He totally let's her run their interaction, definitely not yet a relationship, nor any kind of romance.
Alexis goes to pick up her university badge and finds a slutty girl on the floor of his home A home where Alexis was just the night, before. Her opinion of him is once a playboy, always a playboy. She leaves glad to have found out before she became more emotionally involved. This is where the end of book two ends. I will start book three in a couple of days.
Yes, the series is worth reading. I am hoping Chase finds his masculinity in this last book. I purchased these books and hope to read/review nearly all the books that I read this year. Give it a try, I know you will enjoy part one, and perhaps even part two. I am definitely looking forward to part three. Four stars from me.

Well I thought this was a thumbs up but not so. It's starting to move very slow and become very predictable. There really is no more intensity and the story line is not holding my interest. Still going to give the third book a go. Let's see what happens.

Great continuance to part 1 flows really well and is very interesting I love that the girl has a backbone and is not a sap. Here comes part 3
Part two of Chase was somewhat melancholy. I love that Chase and Alexis were trying to get a relationship started but were stopped midway by one of Chase's wannabe one night stands. I thought it ended a little short and could have used a little more depth. What tantalized me in the first book left me wanting more in the second. I hope Book Three brings a lot more heat and romance.
